HELPING OUT
We have been such a successful club largely due to the helpfulness and energy of our members!
If you are new to the club, and have wondered what jobs there are and how to get involved, then this is a brief outline as to (most of) the behind scenes jobs! Some bigger than others!
Committee
Each committee member has a particular job to do with it's own list of tasks (See Members/who's who page for the club's current committee). The Committee meets 4 times a year, usually in a local pub (there has to be some reward!). Around November time, there is an Annual General Meeting where all members are invited - to listen to the reports from all the committee members, present prizes, re-elect same/new committee and have a drink and meet fellow members!

Other jobs include:
- Organising the klrc competitions. This involves agreeing dates, finding the venue and the judges. Finding the sponsors and buying the rossettes and prizes. Designing (and printing) the schedule. Advertising the competition through facebook/website/local shops. Finding helpers and scorers on the day - also setup and clearup volunteers.
- Organising social events. New event ideas are always welcome. You can see what happened in 2013 on the 'History/riding club life in 2013' page. In previous years, we have had social events such as: Easter Treasure hunt, Quiz and Hobby Horse nights, Summer BBQ, Lunch & film at Whately Manor, Xmas trip to Olympia, Pub rides and others.
- Sponsorship. This involves contacting past sponsors, and also making new contacts for sponsoring the klrc run events! This is SO important for the club since costs really do mount up!
- Helping at rallies and competitions. To help setup/change/take down jumps. First aiders particularly welcome.
